Hatch Chile Festival September 4 & 5, 2010
The 38th Annual Hatch Chile Festival will be held over Labor Day weekend on September 4th – 5th, 2010. At the Chile Festival in Hatch, the Chile Capital of the World, you can enjoy all of the red and green Chile you want, plus the Chile Capital Artists’ Fine Arts Show, Chile Eating Contest, Horseshoe Tournament, live music, Chile Toss, food and craft vendors, and carnival among other exciting events. The smell of roasting green Chile alone makes this festival well worth the 40 mile drive from Las Cruces north to Hatch, NM. Bring along a cooler with ice to transport freshly roasted Chile. The Chile Festival is held at the Hatch Municipal Airport, 1 mile west of Hatch, on HWY 26. $10 per car. (575) 267-4010
