Thousand s of luminarias will light up the plaza and surrounding streets in Old Mesilla on December 24. Christmas carols will be will be performed by a choir from 5:30PM – 7:30PM.

The fiesta at the Tortugas is a three day celebration with dancing, food, and a hike up Tortugas A Mountain. Admission is free. Call for schedule and time 575-526-8171.

Enjoy military re-enactments, luminarias, free cookies, and beverages at Fort Selden State Monument. Admission is free. The monument is located app. 13 miles north of Las Cruces.

Old Mesilla will have their tree lighting  on December 9 on the historic Old Mesilla square.Thousands of luminarias will light up the plaza and some of the stores will be open late for holiday shopping.

The Las Cruces tree lighting will take place at 5Pm on December 2 at the City Hall, 700 North Main St. Following the tree lighting, enjoy some hot chocolate and luminarias downtown.

The Las Casa holiday bazaar will take place at the convention center December 2 -4.  There will be handmade gifts and crafts. Admission is $5.00.

White Sands National Monument is celebrating the holidays on December 2, 2011 fr4om 5 PM – 8 PM. There will be music and luminarias around the adobe visitor center, along with interpretive programs.

St Clair Winery in Deming, New Mexico (about 1 hour west from Las Cruces) is holding a winefest on October 8 & 9, from 12 Noon until 7 Pm. Part of the proceeds from this event will be going to benefit cancer support of Deming & Luna County. We have some complimentary passes to the winefest, so if you are staying with us, stop by and pick up a pass.

New Mexico’s oldest winery will be hosting their Harvest Festival October 8 -9. They are located  at 4201 S Hwy 28. Visit the tasting room, and enjoy a picnic on the grounds. There will be live entertainment, food, arts & crafts.Hours are 12 Noon – 7 PM. There is an admission charge.

Stop by and enjoy Mariachi music Sunday afternoons on the Plaza in Old Mesilla from 4 PM -6  PM.
